Documents damaged by insects, moisture, stains and oxidation are conserved here. Their conditions and environment during storage are also investigated. 　The leaf casting method is mainly applied to restore the missing parts of the documents. It is useful to keep reversibility of the treatment and the original structure of documents as well because no adhesive is required for this method. 　Besides, comprehensive research and survey of the archives are conducted in cooperation with the section of Humanistic studies.
